Henderson and João Pedro lead Chelsea charge against Bournemouth

Henderson and João Pedro take centre stage as Chelsea overpower Bournemouth

Take a seat and observe, young ones. The day kicked off with a segment aimed at the younger crowd, as Cole Palmer went live to discuss the rationale behind his recent contract renewal. It wrapped up with the most seasoned player brought into Chelsea during the BlueCo era commanding the spotlight with a dynamic midfield performance.

Even Palmer was content to take a backseat as Jordan Henderson, using his right foot, curled a free-kick into the net, sparking comparisons to one of David Beckham's iconic efforts. This marked Henderson's second impressive goal—he made his home debut memorable by breaking the deadlock with a bending shot from 20 yards and also set up Morgan Rogers for the second goal—though it's reasonable to suggest that Xabi Alonso didn't recruit the seasoned midfielder to Stamford Bridge primarily for his goal-scoring ability.
